Begin with the cargo
Identify exactly what you intend to bring in, its intended use, quantity and supplier. Product details help determine the questions to resolve before you pay or ship.
Confirm the requirements
Check importer eligibility, the applicable accreditation route and whether the goods need regulatory permits. Ask your broker what must be ready before dispatch.
Build a shipment file
Keep quotations, invoices, packing details, correspondence and shipping documents together. Review the parties’ details for consistency and request corrections early.
