Look beyond the supplier’s price
A buying price is only one part of a shipment’s budget. Consider freight, insurance, duties, taxes, port and handling charges, brokerage and delivery where applicable.
Understand the trade terms
Ask who arranges each stage and which costs are included. Record the agreed responsibilities and exclusions in your quotation.
Allow for changing costs
Exchange rates, assessment and actual logistics charges can affect the final total. Request an itemized estimate and ask which amounts are provisional.
